Silicone Baking Mats Set Professional Review

I've been making cookies since I was 10 - where have they been all my life? Tried them out since they had a lightning deal just to see if they work. Yes indeed! I bake a huge batch of cookies for every holiday and this really saved me this Christmas. Nothing stuck, I just wiped it down with a paper towel between batches and clean up was a breeze. I haven't had any issues with smell or taste changes as some people have reported. No more torn aluminum foil for me!

Although these mats are definitely easy to clean and simple to use. I don't like that the paint rubs off at the edge. I used a blue mat to line the baking sheet I was baking on (instead of parchment paper) at 375F and after washing I noticed the blue color rubbed off my kitchen towel. I am very satisfied. The rugs are durable, well made and easy to clean. Needs to be hand washed but that's no big deal as nothing sticks to the silicone so it cleans up quickly in the sink even after a big spill. Ideal for baking biscuits. I recently bought new baking sheets and did a test with my wife. I baked cookies directly on one baking sheet and used one of those silicone baking sheets on the other. I asked my husband what kind of cookies he prefers and he likes the ones baked on silicon sheets. The cookies didn't spread as much as those baked directly on the baking sheet. I'm so glad to be able to use these baking mats instead of disposable parchment paper or aluminum foil for baking and roasting. They work really well and reduce the amount of baking sheet cleaning as well as adding junk to landfills. Some items will stain carpets, but using bleach or Oxyclean along with soaking will solve most problems.
