Sliding Door - Dogs

I installed it in an outside wall. It's not intended to be used that way and you'll need to add a frame around the inside of the wall. It works well, but the flap may stay partially open when it's very cold. The tabs for accommodating the sliding insert to close the door are also made of lightweight plastic and are said to offer better value for money. In general, a good door, better than many.

Great quality, will last for years

I used a jack to cut my 1/2 inch garage door. I cut the bottom diagonally down. This was my first experience with a jack. The door withstands high loads. I wanted something for the cat because I have a litter box in the garage. It's such a strong door that I had to cut off the bottom magnet to allow my cat to climb through. Yes, I'm probably leaking cold air, but it's minimal and I'm very impressed that I managed to do it myself.

  • An absolute legend

beautiful door for doors, gates and ramps

It was a bit expensive but after installing it I understood why. It's really well built. My German Shepherd loves it. My little one is old and has arthritis and double lobe problems. I have two small disadvantages. First, the instructions could be a bit more descriptive, which wasn't a problem for me, but most people don't have my building background. Second, the robots designed to connect the two halves are too long and never reach the correct breaking point, so they stick out half an inch. I…

Highly recommended for dogs

I installed a valve in the metal door leading to the solarium. Installed for my two kittens (1 year, 4 months). While I don't have any outdoor products, they do have a significant temperature difference between the tanning bed and the house. This product keeps the temperature separate! There is no draft and no noticeable seepage. Very happy. No hardware is required, you can just use a large amount of silicone and then stick it on the door (or wall) for 24 hours. Cats love it, by the way. Had to

Great quality frame! BUT. Poor quality valve mount. took 4 months

I installed this door in December (2020) in a side door of my garage that is not used that much. Both doors fell off by March (2021) Yes, exactly 4 months! After disassembling the door I found that each leaf is ONLY held by the top of 3 screws and I mean the TIP of the screw! You are not sandwiched between two pieces of metal that are "squeezed" together by screws, rather each screw just touches the back of the metal and stops. Having spent $180 including tax on this door and 4 months later…

Nicely designed though.

I have two medium sized dogs. I ordered a middle door. Works quite well and both dogs pass quickly. A little tight for a long haired dog, but it still goes through quickly. Was working fine until a few weeks ago. A hinged door broke where three screws pierced the plastic door, followed by another plastic door shortly after the first. Plastic doors are fairly hard plastic, so a flex at the doors' attachment point caused them to crack and break. I think a swing door would be much safer. It is…

Broken after 6 months for dogs

Both doors are broken. The outer flap broke after about 4 months. Not great, but not a deal breaker either. The second valve broke after a few months. Now we need to buy another dog door. The doors themselves become stiff and brittle when it's cold. They then crack and break where they are held in the frame. That's a pretty big design flaw for something that costs so much. Do not buy. Original review: This is a dog door and seems to be holding up well. Not "sealed", one side of the first valve…

Breaking Doors: Doors, Gates & Ramps

A few months ago I bought this dog door for my two black labs. We followed all the instructions up to T. I have already renewed 3 patch sets in 3 months. Mind you, my dogs are old and go outside about 4 times a day in the winter, so less now. The first set of doors that came with the dog door broke after 2 days of use. This was because the flaps were held by a thread. We installed replacement shields and they were already pre-drilled and the situation is the same. A week passed and the inner…

Fully folded

This item is a big disappointment. About a week ago I really liked it and I would repeat all the other positive reviews. I bought in June 2020. I would like to point out that I hired a professional to install it properly. And then one day I came home and my chihuahua was stuck outside. The outer valve broke off and he couldn't get in. I thought wow it hasn't even been a year but things happen and I didn't feel the need to rush out here and leave a negative review. And today the front part…
