🔑 Chevy/GMC Key Fob Remote Start for Silverado, Colorado, Sierra, Canyon - Chrome (2014-2017) Review

We bought this for our truck. The dealer wanted a lot of money just for this part so we hired a local locksmith to program it. It was half the cost of going that route and then using the trader!

Paid for programming and they worked great (doors and start) for a while they don't work. New battery, no change. Didn't even use them regularly! Those were spare parts!

Received and programmed the remote control from a locksmith. The remote control works like an OEM. Research is required when purchasing a remote control. If so, would you know that you would need a dealer/locksmith to do the programming.

My 2017 won't let me program the remote, I have to go to the dealer or locksmith for them to use the programmer. Check your car before you buy it. It's not the manufacturer's fault, it's Chevy's fault. Before my 2017 you could program yourself.

The key fob must be programmed by a technician. It took a visit to a website that didn't list any information about the truck and four emails back and forth to get the information that a technician was needed to program it. Either update your website or add this information more clearly to Revain.

This is not exactly what I ordered, the remote I received should have an engine start button. As indicated on the product when ordering. You can see I didn't get the right one. It's annoying that I have 2 serial keys that have an engine start button. I used the card they gave me to program the remote control. They had no indication of the year of manufacture of my car. This product is for my 2016 Chevy Silverado LT Z71.
