🐶 Sewing Pattern for Dog Coats - Simplicity 1239: Small, Medium, and Large Sizes Review

The same basic pattern in three sizes which can be embellished by adding collars, scarves, bags etc. All the patterns are easy to make, even for a beginner like me. The small dog pattern fit my 8lb Shih Tzu.

These patterns are easy to sew even for beginners. The only thing I would warn about is the size range: small-large does NOT mean Chihuahua-German Shepherd; More specifically, it means Chihuahua pug, a smaller breed. Without significant adjustments, these patterns are not appropriate for a large dog. I had to increase the L size to accommodate a 35lb medium sized dog.

Great little pattern for dog clothes. There are many different things you can do with this pattern if you have the imagination. Add cute buttons, ribs, lace, etc. In my opinion the instructions were a bit lacking in adding a collar to the body of the garment in relation to the lining, but if you've sewn something in the past you should have it done. no problem. Another great little template that you can add a lot more to.
