🔠 Sizzix 662228 Tim Holtz Blue Thinlits Dies: Upper and Lower Case Alphabet with Numbers for Crafting Review

To be honest I love this tool set. It was a bit difficult to understand and separate all the letters. (I had to cut everything out, lay them out and find a suitable cube to store them separately in a large craft container.) Putting the letters together is nice, but also a bit tricky. However, it looks beautiful and you can write any words you like and it's awesome. I had to look through a letter or two twice, but overall a great product!

uppercase and lowercase letters have all been thrown into a bag. I put them on a magnetic pad but couldn't figure out what most of the lower case letters were. it takes a long time to understand. You should come to a board showing what each is. I even used a mirror but could only see 1/4 of it. I don't have my car yet (I'm new to this) so maybe I can find out what it is.

Well these dies are beautifully made and exactly what I have come to expect from Sissix. The problem, as mentioned by other reviewers, is that you can't tell which letter is which! It gets even more annoying when you mix lowercase and uppercase letters. I know some have suggested labeling the pieces, but there isn't much room on each cube for that. This is a good upper case, lower case, number and symbol stamp set I liked and cut beautifully on my machine. My two complaints are that because the parts are a bit small, they are difficult to remove from the die and it was quite difficult to tell which letter was which. My mom and I ended up using a black marker to mark the back of the stamps. I would recommend them with just these few things in mind. It took a long time to go through all the small parts. Of course, they're mirrored and scripted, which makes them even harder to understand. I placed them on a magnetic sheet which helped hold them in place. I got to the end and found that 3 pieces are missing, 2 are duplicates and one doesn't make sense. Love this set Alpha, Numeric and some punctuation. Finally italics! I store my stamps in 8.5" x 5.5" page protectors on #110 paper with a magnetic sheet on the back. As this set contains 69 stamps, this will not work on a sheet. I cut the magnet sheets into 4 sheets. x 6.5" and it took 3 sheets of paper to place all the stamps in alphanumeric order. I've been experimenting with this set and although it's still difficult to work with, I get better results because I don't crop the cutouts, I just stack them on top of each other. These letters and numbers are a great size for my handmade greeting cards and the font is easy to glue together to make it look like it's from Word Die. The first thing I did was run them all through my Big Shot onto multiple layers of unflavored dryer sheets so they popped out of the mold easily. One difficulty - dots above "i" are so small!
