The towels are damn good. You can throw them in the laundry but I do a lot of dishes because we don't have a dishwasher and I love to cook so consider doing the washing up for a family of 4 even though I only cook for 2. They are machine washable and dishwasher safe but I find that they are better machine washable and hold their shape better in the washing machine. I don't like washing them in the dishwasher.
