Recommended for patio doors over 10 years old

I replaced this bracket because the opening button is broken in the middle. Went to local stores but they didn't carry it. When I got it , it fitted perfectly. All the screws fitted and was very easy to assemble.Shipping was great within a week considering the pandemic.

Pros
  • 1/4" square drive
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

perfect fit -- easy assembly

The locking mechanism on my sliding glass door has not worked for months. After pulling it out and looking at it, I matched it with this one and quickly ordered it. Oh my gosh I'm so glad I did this and honestly I should have replaced it a few months ago. It took about 10 minutes to install this lock with a screwdriver and it worked perfectly.

Pros
  • Insertion bolt for sliding door
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

This was a great replacement for our sliding door. We were so upset when our sliding door broke. It turns out it's that easy to fix. It took me about 5 minutes to fit this new locking mechanism and like magic everything worked again! We highly recommend this replacement glass sliding door lock.

Pros
  • 2 point mortise lock
Cons
  • Frequency

perfect except for curved faceplate

We have a 20+ glass patio door slider and the latch has finally broken. The locking mechanism ("mortise lock", apparently) had the "ii" logo and patent number, that's all. It turns out that ii stands for "Interlock" (now owned by assa abloy, a door hardware company). Most of them (main line, STB, Swiss) use the same locking element (you'll notice that the branding is never visible in the photos). In any case, find the one you like the most and buy it. Unfortunately this came in a plastic bag…

Pros
  • Multipoint with hook to side
Cons
  • Modern
