I needed to extend my IR remote and tried the Belkin Active USB Extension Cable (F3U130-16) but it just didn't work. I decided to give it a try and was surprised that it works great even with a much longer ethernet cable.

Doesn't work as PS3 Move Eye Camera Extension Cable even the Cat.6 cable is short. It would be better if it had a built-in cleaner/signal booster. Otherwise it works with other devices and seems to be a good product. I suppose it depends on how sensitive your USB device is. I will keep it for future use.

Works great. Cheap and does what it's supposed to. It took me about 15 feet of power strip to power a small USB device. Lost some power on the route I walked, but it was fine for my purposes. If your device requires a lot of USB power, this may not work for you.

Got with that controlled a 200ft Cat6 mouse when I tried 3 other powered devices that didn't work at that distance. Something about the simplicity of this device and it was plug and play. I wouldn't use this for complex USB devices, but a mouse or maybe a simple keyboard works great. I've also used it in a PoE switch as a USB charger, which worked surprisingly well.
