This item has a low rating and was returned for the following reason. An attempt to relieve the tension at the power cord entry point into the heater block exposed about 5/16 inch of the power cord. must absorb all stresses caused by movements of the cable. This is unacceptable as the heater is moved on a daily basis. This movement will eventually lead to insulation failure and the risk of electric shock.

My dogs fight so hard I ended up ordering more so each dog has their own heating pad plus cat. When not lying on them, they stay at room temperature and then warm up when stressed.
