SMARTISAN Gas Cap - Compatible with Honda Acura & More: Replaces 17670-SHJ-A31, 31637 10837 Review

Bought this gas cap and when I put it on the message "Tighten gas cap" appeared on the dashboard. Tightened but no difference. A few weeks later I went to the state inspection, but the gas cap did not pass. Came back for a check up a few weeks later just in case it was an anomaly but still hasn't cleared it up. I immediately went to the auto zone, got a new cap, immediately came back for inspection and passed.

Gas cap fits perfectly. The only downside was that it didn't come with a buckle/tether that connects it to the vehicle. Honestly it is not in the photo.

Replaced the gas cap on my 2007 Honda Element. The swap was very easy, even the connector bar to the lid was an easy swap. This is a less expensive gas cap but for now it has solved the problem with my car!

Hoping it was just a leaking gas cap I replaced the original gas cap with this new one. It is installed correctly and works fine. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that I would like a replacement hold button. When I pulled it off, I destroyed the original cable connector.

Not suitable for Acura TL 2007. I bought this because I had a failure to tighten the gas cap on the dash with my old one. This seemed to fit, but after a few days my check engine light came on, which was due to a leaking evaporator. I deleted the code and got it back a day later. Then I tried my old one again and the check engine light didn't come on.
