Outerwear as expected

I have several versions of these goggles ranging from the old style to the newest as of this writing. Chromapop lenses are a bit sharper than older lenses, but otherwise the light transmission and quality are the same. The fit and sizing is the same as the previous generation frame.

Pros
  • Sport: Climbing
Cons
  • Safety

Temples won't stand up to the weather

I bought these glasses a year ago and within 6 months the elastic on the temples was completely wrinkled. I applied for a warranty and was quickly given a new pair, but after six months the rubber started to crumble again. I cut them off completely which made the glasses less comfortable but at least they don't look crazy anymore. Next time I'll use a different brand.

Pros
  • Roomy fit and coverage; Megol non-slip nose pads and temples for a secure fit 6 support frames; Hinges with automatic locking; RX compatible; Microfiber cleaning bag included Lens width 57mm / Lens height 39mm / Temple width 16mm / Temple length 135mm
Cons
  • Not the best

Child size works best with outerwear

Bought these sunglasses expecting great sunglasses for the price. Received what turned out to be children's sunglasses. The height of the lenses barely covered the eyes and the width barely reached the temples. I have an average L/W face. The lenses were great but other than that the price was way overpriced compared to what you get. Bought a pair of Oakley Mainlinks which were better in size and price and also fit glasses.

Pros
  • HYDROLEOOPHOBIC - Water and oil repellent coating repels moisture, grease and dirt. A barrier between your lenses and the world. Water collects and spreads without streaks. Fingerprints can be wiped off easily.
Cons
  • Exorbitant price

Good value for money.

Prices on Amazon vary wildly, but if you can get the polarized version for under $100 I'd say it's a decent price. Smith has always been my regular customer for quality outdoor sunglasses (biking, hiking, hiking, etc.) and they're essentially on par with the glasses I've purchased from Smith over the years. The quality of the lenses (I have the brown polarized ones) is good (not great) and the build quality is solid. Some have complained that the hinges aren't what they used to be, but I've…

Pros
  • ANTI-REFLECTIVE coating. The vacuum anti-reflective coating on the back of the lenses eliminates unwanted side light reflections.
Cons
  • New Competitors Arrive

Smith Vs Maui Jim Accessories

Second polarized Smith sunglasses, first pair with ChromaPop. I am also a Maui Jim lens enthusiast and have had eight pairs of lenses over the years. Product shipped as advertised. I think others get confused by the many options and lens descriptions and mistakenly order, thinking that all lenses are the same on different mounts. I love these lenses. They are more than comparable, if not better than Maui Jim's. ChromaPop lives up to the ad. Things appear clearer and clearer, but don't expect…

Pros
  • EVOLVE Eco-Material Construction. Our proprietary Evolve material contains 53% bio-based material in our injection molded resin sunglasses. Smith Sunglasses is the world's largest collection of sustainable sunglasses.
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine
