I live in Port Charlotte Florida. Just recently had Ian come through. Had my 12 foot aluminum boat attached to this winch on one side and to a tree on the other. Was still there in the morning. Large fith wheel mobile trailer was thrown across the canal. My aluminum boat was still there. Can't say much more.

This works for the most part but I have had issues with the lock getting stuck and I am unable we to crank it. It takes a bit of tinkering to get it to work.Now after a few months of use the lock doesn't say in the lock position and I need to be very aware of where it is and and double check it to make sure it is secure.

I used this hoise as part of a home made gantry crane to build my gazebo. The highlight was lifting the center ring and two beams with a total weight of over 240 lbs. It performed very well in nearly all cases. My only minor complaint is that the controls and power are on a 6' cord. While the power can be overcome with an extension cord, I had to use a ladder each time I wanted to operate the hoist.

This winch is an outstanding little work horse, great value for the money. Extremely happy! Took me maybe 30 minutes to put up in garage rafter, and I was ready to go. Going to buy another.

It was inexpensive and all I needed to lift a kayak to the ceiling of my garage. Not much of a load, certainly not any where near the 600 pounds claimed by the winch. One aggravating thing was the quirky operation of the winch direction and latching mechanism. It is difficult to set the direction and to lock the winch. If you have a load on and make a change and end up with the wrong setting, you can lose control of the load as the winch unwinds with great gusto. Ouch!

This winch came in handy quite a bit yesterday. I got my trailer stuck in the mud trying to get out of a lot. It had been sitting in mud for a few days and it was stuck hard and my truck couldn’t get enough traction to pull it out. I have it attatched to the front of it and I was able to hook it to the truck and pulled it out by hand! I don’t know how strong this really is, but I feel that pull was more than 600 lbs.

Worth the money. I needed this to replace the hand winch on a deer feeder hoist. It directly bolted this winch onto the hoist where the other one came off. This works well and easily hoists a deer feeder barrel w/300lbs of corn and holds it suspended in the air for up to a month or more at a time between refills. installed this to raise large game for processing. wire cable unspools and can get messed up but as long as you keep tension on it it works fine. the winch itself seems very solid and works as expected.

I have two of these electric hoists, using one for a Jeep top lifter in my garage and the other for a chandelier hoist. Both work well and represent a great value in my opinion for the money. Mounting can be a challenge and require some creativity. I do wish both the electric cord and hand controller had longer cords, but for the price, I understand.

This little hoist works perfectly for what I need. I am using it for lifting things such as groceries up to my elevated house. It works great!

I really liked the way the base has threaded holes, rather than thru holes requiring nuts and washers. It made installation a breeze. And the thing is FAST. I’m using it to lift long, heavy bikes (Electric cargo, tandem) and sea kayaks up into the rafters of a garage, and like that it only takes a few seconds to hoist then into place.

The winch claims 620lbs but the clip that is supposed to catch will not hold once the weight is just about 400lbs. I am going to have to buy a new winch that claims 800lbs and hope that the catch is stronger with better teeth on the small gear.

It will serve the purpose. Not the sturdiest I’m seen but for the price it is fine. Looks like it is as good as comparable ones for same price
