At first I loved this shelf but now I just love it. It is very easy to assemble and durable. When assembling my shoe rack I noticed I had a hole in one of the lids, then the other lid started falling apart and I had to fix it. First I tried glue but it didn't work, then I decided to sew it and it worked great. I'm not the best seamstress but I got this working. Other than those issues, it's perfect. Overall this is a good product. I'm writing this after placing my second order so it says it does the job. There are 2 downsides I don't like. 1, the shelves are made of plastic, so it may be difficult to keep the shoes upright when adding or taking off shoes. It's very rare that my heels don't fall off when I take off the pair I want to wear. 2, the shelves are not high enough for most of my heels. I solved this problem by removing 3 shelves. This is a great product. I could fit 48 pairs of shoes and sandals on this shelf and still have room. I used the top shelf for wallets. There have been a lot of comments about breakage of plastic connectors during assembly. A simple solution to this problem is to heat each part before joining. It took a little longer, but I used a hair dryer to heat each piece of plastic and the rod it needed to be connected to. This made them slip very easily and I had no broken parts. I hate collecting shelves. I can honestly say that assembling these shelves was easy. I assembled the first stage and then my nine year old twins did most of it. I bought two. I just made sure that each section is firmly seated. I use this shelf exclusively for high heels. The non-woven fabric is not ideal for stilettos or other non-flat-soled shoes. Let me say the advert is a bit deceptive. Heels are either 2 inches or photographed. Picture. Because it's not that spacious. The maximum heel height you can actually squeeze between the shelves (and I mean COMPRESSION) is 4 inches. Anything above that just won't work. There is about 6 inches or so between each shelf. For the price of a booth this is AWESOME. I bought many different shoe racks for my wife. I like this one because it's VERY strong and durable and will hold a lot of shoes.
