The camcorder is very good. Vineyards picks up very sharply. Photos are lower resolution, but this is normal. light and easy handling of the camera. it's all right.JC

it's been almost two years now, no problem except for some discs, also Sony messed up during playback, not sure if it's the camcorder or the discs themselves.

This is a very good DVD camcorder. I chose the DVD-305 over the 205 simply because it has a USB port which allows you to transfer your recordings to a PC/laptop for editing. You can also use your camcorder as a DVD burner by connecting it to the USB port. This camcorder is really good if you are looking for a mid-range budget camcorder.

I received this product quicker than expected and it worked great until about a year after purchase and then the DVD tray would not close. The amount it cost to fix it was almost the same amount to just buy another one. This time I chose Best Buy. PS The camcorder itself provided a clear picture and excellent zoom as I used it daily for business purposes.
