Region 4 Best DVD Player

Hey all, like many of us it can be difficult to find our favorite movies, TV shows and documentaries on DVD. In addition, there is research into region codes and either finding the right hardware or looking for alternatives such as region-free DVDs or multi-region players. I couldn't find one of my favorite shows on DVD in the United States, but I found it in abundance on Region 4 players. So I researched the various Region 4 DVD players, found the Sony DVP-SR370 series and fell instantly in…

Pros
  • Plays Region 4 DVDs only - ALL Latin America, Central America and South America (except French Guiana), Bermuda, Suriname, New Zealand, Australia.
Cons
  • Not as thick as other selections

Instructions in Spanish; However, no instructions are required as the audio/video connections are colour-coded making it obvious where to connect the supplied cable to your DVD player and TV. The power cord comes with a plug adapter so you can plug it into a US outlet. It is rated for 110-240V, so you can easily plug it directly into a US outlet. When you turn on the DVD for the first time after…

Pros
  • 110/240 volts - travel adapter included.
Cons
  • I will write back later.

Everything I hoped for!

I am a big TV fan from Australia and UK. Most shows from either country (Australia in particular) never make it to the US. To enjoy and own these shows on DVD, a DVD player with no region requirement is required. I've been looking at a few different models here on Amazon, mainly looking for something that has good customer reviews and is reasonably priced. After a lot of reading, testing and answering questions I settled on the Sony DVPSR370. I am very happy that I made the choice. The player…

Pros
  • Compact space saving design
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
