Wait for the 800GB version due out next year.

It has much more memory, megapixels and more than my current box. Random words and numbers appear on the screen. I was totally confused using the maze of foreign functions. I think I'll buy whatever I see in the ad and just hide it in my country cabin with the rest of the dusty dental gear.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

good for non computer users

I bought one of these for my mom about 10 years ago who doesn't have a computer. This allows her to contact friends and family via email without having to tediously work on the computer. Cons: It's quite slow to load image attachments and video attachments cannot be loaded. However, it's perfect for my 80 year old mother and I wish Sony would still make them. I have a third machine with web tv. The last two were bought used.

Pros
  • This is awesome
Cons
  • Some bugs

IT DOESN'T WORK

Contact Sony before purchasing. This is the best thing that has happened since the invention of the lighter. Oh yeah; - That does not work. Sony no longer supports new receivers. The Microsoft version isn't endorsed by Microsoft either.* If you buy this marvel, you can plug it in, admire it - worship it if you want, but it's outdated. Think of new internet-enabled TVs that sell for a few thousand dollars, think of cable companies that could be losing revenue because of these miracles, and then…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide
