A wonderful product, its nice to use.

The first impression after the purchase was ambiguous, but is this device needed if you have a smartphone, listening with wireless headphones from Sony doubted the purchase, the sound seemed boring, a little better than in a smartphone, but longed for the hope of somehow improving the sound. After all, it's still a hi-fi player. Later I delved into the sound settings, adjusted the sound in the player application for myself and realized that the sound is good, compared to a smartphone, really…

Pros
  • Build quality, sound!
Cons
  • Disadvantages like everyone else, weak battery, not enough memory in the device!

Expensive. suitable for MP3 and MP4 players

I was delighted to add another Walkman to my collection after leaving the brand over ten years ago. I listen to a lot of music and my phone's battery can't handle it. One of the things Sony was boasting about was the battery life of this device, so I figured why not. Big mistake. The battery lasts a few days and then it's useless. The UI is rubbish, it doesn't show half of my music and some artists list the same track dozens of times. The screen slows down a bit and doesn't respond to touch…

Wow, this music player is my new best friend.

I was looking for a new music player that would provide a richer music experience than my iPhone apps. So I was skeptical it was the answer to my dream. It was easy to set up, and even easier to download all the music I wanted in one place so I could listen to it instantly, anytime, without having to be online or create playlists or anything worse. Of course, the sound quality depends on the quality of the headphones, but even with the cheapest headphones I have, the music in them sounds…

Nice portable audio and video player

I record vinyl on a very high quality audio system (best Linn LP12 specs, benchmark ADC and DAC, First Watt amp/preamp, VinylStudio software)) and play them on this player and from other sources. My experience with the DAP is limited to an iPod and a pono (I bought a total of 4 ponos for myself and family members). Pono sounds really (really) good, but the UI isn't great, the battery life isn't great either. i love it anyway The user interface of this Sony player (and the player in general) is…

OK, but back to portable audio/video

As far as portable music goes, I prefer the Walkman form factor to the current-generation iPod that I also own. It also has more weight due to stronger materials. The layout and responsiveness of the interface format are fine. The sound quality was fine. I've tried AAC, bought AAC (from iTunes) and MPEG and it came preinstalled with a track in each of the high definition FLAC and DSD formats plus an additional track in ALAC or AIFF format, although I can't remember , which one . I refuse to…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • High price

Great player with great sound, options, interface and form factor.

The interface is vivid, elegant, well organized, and the text and album art are crisp and clear. It is a pleasure to use and navigate. When navigating through the menu, the small icon takes you back to the currently playing song with one click. In general, I prefer ClearAudio mode when using headphones. I also connect headphones to my main stereo where I prefer a flat output response. However, there are many audio processing options that are very effective when I want to change the output…

If you absolutely must buy one, get another one.

Getting Started. The Sony NW-A55 is arguably the worst violator of what I consider misleading advertising in the music player genre. It's worth noting that this doesn't fully reflect the NW-A45, but we'll come back to that in this review. The 55 is touted as a high definition music player with a new design that delivers sound quality unprecedented in this market at this price point. Combining premium construction, this is the first Observation Marker. Construction: 4/10 The device is similar to
