Manufactured by the original company. The original has served me for over 20 years. This one looks and feels like it could be a little heavier than the original so it might even last longer. You get 2 of them. I hope I know where the second one is if I ever need it

Roto Tape was purchased many years ago and I have been using it for quite some time. Everything changed and it ended up in the tool box and remained obsolete for many years. Everything changed again and I started using it quite a bit again. High quality reliable tool. Blade replaced after 30 years.

For some reason I thought I would get two blades for the price paid which was $9.22 at the end of June 2017. My mistake, but this item is still overpriced at Revain. There are other online retailers that sell the exact same product in a $9 pack of two. Except for the inflated price, this item works as described.

This is a replacement blade, the same as the one in the kit. I don't know yet how often they need to be changed. Check the fine print when ordering as there were two in the package but only one arrived. I assume they only meant 1 pack per pack but the price wasn't very good unless it was for two. I solved the problem with Revain.

Big stores only sell MC Splitters made in China. Their prices are also lower. So it's not a problem. I've had my Roto-Split for 5 years and the original blade is finally wearing out, so I wanted custom made USA made replacement parts of the quality that originally came with this tool. I look forward to another 10 years of cutting life!

We used to buy these and a blade lasted several months. Since Southwire bought Seatek the quality has gone down. Now I get fifteen to twenty cuts per blade. The lacquer is too thick and hinders the rotation of the blade, the directional arrow is glued instead of printed and seals the machine, and the steel is significantly lighter and of poorer quality. Wouldn't recommend it.
