Spaldeens I remember growing up in New York

These balls are identical to the ones I used growing up in New York. They probably used to cost 10 cents each, but adjusted for inflation, they're worth the price I paid. I plan to keep one for myself and give the rest away.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • No representation

Official Stick/Slouching Ball

The Real Deal: Spaldeen! Like we played in the Big Apple when we were kids. I bought a four pack and gave it to my kids as a reminder of how easy entertainment was in my day. If we had a broom, we would play stickball. If we only had Spaldin and no broom, we'd be playing Shootball. Alli Alli ox free,

Pros
  • Free for Educational Purposes

  • Not the Best

Played with it for 70 years

Love the "new" Spaldeens. I started playing all kinds of balls with them - hits, sticks, tilts, hands, etc. - on the sidewalks, streets and yards of New York since I learned to walk. I still play stickball with my brother once in a while and buy them for my grandkids both boys and girls every year. A child with Spaldin does not need adult advice.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Toby Zeigler's Stress Relief Choice Works!

I love this ball. After seeing it in episodes of The West Wing I thought I'd buy it as a joke for a friend. Since it came in a multipack, I had the opportunity to play with it myself. Now I take it on walks and throw it up as I walk, which adds a bit of hand-eye coordination to my practice. Find the wall and get rid of your childhood by playing ball alone. This is the perfect ball!

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Expandable

Loved by two retrievers

I bought these balls for two wild golden retrievers. Although they enjoy chasing balls in the snow near Lake Superior, after a while they lose motivation when the balls dig into the snow. Not so for these Spaldiners! The dogs ruthlessly search for them. Why? Once found, the dogs take them inside and chew them like gum. They try not to destroy them and it's fun to watch them chew. Great success!

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • old

Damn, simple and clear!

I was so excited when I got my Spaldinas in the 50's and 60's after playing stickball on the streets of New York and also in schoolyards. Unfortunately, this is absolutely SHIT. These are not Spaldine as stated on the label. We always called them little fingers, soft and pliable, not hard and strong. It was hard to squeeze real Spaldin, they are like mush. But like 5 cent candy bars, quality spaldines are a thing of the past. Made in China Fake what a total disappointment!

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Hard to say

What can I say? This is the same gorgeous Spaldeen ball every child in America has been playing with for a million years! And everything is just like it was a million years ago when I was a kid! Now I buy them every year to put Christmas stockings on my grandchildren. Why new every year? Not because they wear out but because they are played with so well they usually get lost or just covered in dirt which is why Grandma wants her little ones to have nice clean Spaldine to start the new year! :)

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Nothing here

Classic Stress Relief

Simply bouncing a ball off the floor, wall or steps relaxes you, but you can also slam it down on your desk like a stress ball. Spaldeen is a beautiful classic that I always have in my bag. When I was at school I used to play handball with them or just throw them against walls to play tag. They also make a great sound. There is simply no other ball like these, not even a racquetball, and they make a GREAT racquet replacement too! And let's never forget the stick ball. My cat often steals one…

Pros
  • Loads of positive vibes
Cons
  • Not bad
