Good scissors but started to rust after 6 months

We have used these scissors in the kitchen and they cut great. 6 months after receipt, the scissors began to open and close poorly. I looked at the connection and saw that there was rust. The problem went away after disassembling the scissors and oiling the spot.

Pros
  • Quick change
Cons
  • Almost everything there

Great value at $4 or less! I only paid $2.

High-quality, reliable scissors. Not food safe but perfect for light tasks like paperwork but also small gardening jobs. I used it to cut very small and light branches and they didn't dull at all! Also no rust, no wear, no loosening at the connection point, everything just perfect. 2 dollars. Wow.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Without machine

A pleasure to cut paper with.

These scissors cut very well on paper, they are light and ergonomic, they fit well in the hand. I have very old steel scissors and compared to the Sparco scissors the steel handle of the scissors is less comfortable, heavier and although still functional it is starting to rust. These are my scissors when I need to cut paper.

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • I will add later

Halving is best in the craft department

I used them specifically as hygienic scissors to open yeast bags for home brewing. The scissors broke in half after three uses. They were used to cut a packet of yeast. 3 times. Then they broke. I have disinfected two other scissors in the house with the same disinfectant solution and they are still intact and working.

Pros
  • Kraft
Cons
  • Something else

save your money; These scissors suck!

Very Inexpensive; These scissors will not even cut paper or plastic bags. The metal is very heavy but it cannot cut anything and buying these scissors is a waste of time and money. My 20 year old orange scissors that I have never sharpened cut paper like new; It's not these scissors. I would never allow my child or teen to use them for a school project. They are heavy, uncomfortable and unsafe - waste of money. I can only send them back in principle. The old adage that you get what you pay forโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Art Supplies
Cons
  • Uncertain

I bought these scissors when they were only a few dollars and now they are over $10! It's a bit expensive. I bought two pairs of these when they were cheaper and used them to cut cardboard for my compost bin. They worked pretty well for about 2 months but when they tried to cut through the paper they just folded the paper instead of cutting through after the abuse I had pierced with these scissors. I think the box might be too much for her. I keep another couple in the greenhouse to cut plastic

Pros
  • Scissors
Cons
  • cord is shorter than others
