Works well, good value for money

I have used a few rolls of this material for woodworking projects where I need to attach the blank to a base plate to work with the Shaper Origin CNC hand router. This tape works well. I've never had a slip with it, it always peeled cleanly in the end. It's very thin, which comes in handy when you need to keep the workpiece, the jig that surrounds the shaper belt, and the scraper board within a very fine vertical tolerance.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • A few minor things

A good product. - Tape

I've been using this product for years on all kinds of projects including woodworking. I would rate it as medium adhesion for woodworking as it holds parts in place with minimal pressure and difficulty separating parts. For a stronger bond, hold the pieces for about 30 seconds, after which you will have trouble separating the pieces. However, it does not pull the fibers out of the wood or leave marks like some products do. Hence my trait of medium adhesion.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities

  • Definitely a bad product

I know everyone has their favorite double sided tape

I know everyone has their favorite double sided tape but for the woodworking that I do this is absolutely the best tape for stenciling wood into while routing. It adheres very well, forms a very thin adhesive surface and leaves no sticky marks on the wood, especially when it is removed - it comes off. I recommend it to all my woodworking friends (who don't have a favorite band yet). I had just completed hundreds of hours of rework on our sailboat - about 60 individual parts - most of which…

Nice double sided tape if you pay attention to details.

These tapes work well. However, you must ensure that all dust is removed from your blank and stencil. There was some dust on the tape and the connection failed when milling this part of the template. This allowed the template to move a bit and I ruined about 1 foot of the 8/4 sapele board. It happened again, but I was able to sand away a small imperfection. You have to be really vigilant to make sure the dust is removed from both parts before using the tape. I used it with a spiral template and

Works very well on light CNC machines.

I am an industrial CNC milling machine operator who uses vacuum tables, special vacuum jigs and sometimes jigs. In the past I've tried using mounting tape and such on thin (1/16 inch) acrylic or similar things. When I tried something heavier, I wasn't happy with the grip when the work piece moves, work collapses, or worse. not sure. I tested with 1/2" poplar, doing 120 ipm in 3 roughing passes (super soft) at full cutter width and a single pass of 0.05" with 1/4" carbide presses. I kept the…

Will definitely go with tape

I thought it would be better to use this tape as piping and blue tape as I find it always seeps into the wood. I have been working on walnut shelving and used this bandsaw blade and forum with curved edges and leg slots to ensure they are identical. Read some that the tape allows some movement so I taped all 4 edges and did all my work and figured I was free at home while trying to separate them as if I had taped them together. After being careful not to mess up the edges by trying to split…

Double-sided adhesive tape suitable for masking tape

Hello! Excellent band. The only problem is the beginning, but once you've done that just leave out the end of the paper (i.e. don't use scissors to cut it or you'll be there for 3 days trying to peel off the backing). I used it for a woodworking project. Two pieces of wood glued together so I could run them through the band saw to cut them. I had to open them again with the tool that held them together so well. I built a makeshift workbench out of it using two saws and a piece of plywood. The…

Easy to use. Sticks well*

As another reviewer noted, you need to make sure both surfaces are clean and free of sawdust. It doesn't seem like a problem, but the task is harder than you might think when using this in a woodworking shop. However, I gave 4 stars because the chances of error are very small. It either sticks well or not at all (although that might trick you into thinking otherwise). There is no real between them. When you work with a milling machine or CNC machine, the risk of error is already so high that…
