Description of 🌡️ Spectra Premium CU1193 Full Radiator Solution

To allow room for the occurring thermal expansion, OE clevis pins are included where it is required. To reduce stress on the headers and prevent warping during thermal expansion, stress cuts are made to the side rails. Increased tube wall thickness for durability and longevity. Manufactured with high quality material for extended durability. Subject to aging and endurance testing to validate performance under extreme weather conditions.

So far so good with coolers

Fit quality is perfect for my jeep. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the plastic stoppers. What the heck, it replaces a fairly expensive high-end "all aluminum" heatsink that has been leaking at the seams since day one. I added Bars-Leak and it helped but didn't stop the leak completely. After two years, the smell of antifreeze was enough for me. This radiator was less than a third of the price and has been on my jeep for over two weeks now and not leaking a drop; is better…

Will NOT fit 2000 Jeep Cherokee XJ

We have several xj cherokees in our fleet. Last year we installed CU1193 in one. It has a tapered tank that has a gap to fit in a vehicle. Today, the cooler supplied by Amazon has a 1-3/8 larger reservoir than the CU1193. This is prevented by the body of the car. This way the pins will not line up with the mounting holes. The product description shows a conical tank on the inlet side. The Amazon product photo shows the correct cooler for the XJ, but Amazon sent a different cooler with a huge…

Pleasantly surprised. Great spotlight for the price!

2000 Cherokee (XJ) with 4.0L engine. Owned since new. The stock cooler failed after about six years and I have changed several coolers since then. Bought to replace an all metal 3 way CSF. CSF cools much better than stock. That was great while it lasted, but leaked about eighteen months later. I decided to buy a cheap Spectra until I got something better, but this one still lasts over five years. Cools almost as well as CSF. I have to remove the heat sink for other work soon and will probably…

Warranty Beware

Good: The price was right = 1 star Fit perfectly and still had no cooling problems = 1 star Bad: Reliability: Plastic cracked under the radiator cap after about 4 months of driving in moderate weather = 0 Die Stars 2-year warranty isn't worth anything: the fine print says you have to return the old one, prove the installation was professional, and a few other things no one doing their job can do. This was a perfect fit for my 2000 Jeep Cherokee

This was a perfect fit for my 2000 Jeep Cherokee. There were no problems with the installation. The only thing I complain about is the single core heatsink and my original was dual core. In other words, the original cooler had more cooling capacity. This is a problem with many Revain auto parts. They fit, they work, but they're often not as well made as OEM parts. being cheated by the dealer out of the OEM part (plus the insult of paying 7% sales tax!). So far I haven't had any overheating…

8000 miles to Alaska. Buy it.

I restored a 1997 Cherokee XJ and drove it 8,000 miles to the north coast of Alaska and back in 10 days. In preparation I installed this Spretra block. I was skeptical because of the price but WOW this is a great item at a great price! 1,000 miles of my trip were off-road, with no cell service or gas stations. I needed something as reliable as possible and this Spectra heatsink did the job. I replaced the water pump with a $20 GMB water pump, a 195 degree Standt thermostat and Gates hoses. At…

Thinner and only single breasted.

I was hoping this would be a one for one replacement for my 2001 Jeep Cherokee. The OE Chrysler-badged radiator has 2 cores and is 1.58 inches thick (front to back). This skinny thing is single row and only 1.03 inches thick. The slats are not much larger than aluminum foil. MUCH weaker than the original. I was hoping to have an equivalent replacement that I could rely on when I was far off the beaten track. But now I'm stuck on a cheap wheel that looks like a strong mosquito bite is going…

There is only ONE.

Overall build quality is good, but there is one important point worth paying attention to. Attached is a photo of the transmission oil cooler lower pipe from the original factory cooler. Note that the end of the tube has a smooth, rounded bevel. With CU1193 there is no corresponding tube, it is rectangular and only without burrs, see product photo above. If they are used like this there is a good chance that attempting to reinstall the oil cooler line will loosen or damage the internal o-rings…
