Description of Efficient Cooling: Spectra Complete Radiator CU1290 for Optimal Engine Performance

To allow room for the occurring thermal expansion, OE clevis pins are included where it is required. To reduce stress on the headers and prevent warping during thermal expansion, stress cuts are made to the side rails. Increased tube wall thickness for durability and longevity. Manufactured with high quality material for extended durability. Subject to aging and endurance testing to validate performance under extreme weather conditions.

It will be useful to check the quality

Fits perfectly. I saved a lot by buying online and having my mechanic install it - it's great. After installing the radiator, new overflow and hoses, I took the car to the car wash for a thorough cleaning. As I drove past the store, I happened to look down. The engine was hot! I turned and pulled myself inside. It turned out that the plug did not have a sealing ring, and almost all the liquid leaked from the radiator. (The mechanic didn't see this because he parked in a puddle. Who expects a…

The radiator cap fell apart and the engine is overheating

The radiator may be fine, but the radiator cap fell apart after a few days. The print block fell out of the cover. I don't know where it went. Probably somewhere in the cooler. I could not find it. I almost broke my engine because of it. After working normally for about a week, it suddenly started leaking water and then the temp gauge got almost hot. I should have stopped and waited. Once I had to buy water at a gas station. The next day the same. I couldn't figure it out and thought I had…

Installed this product last week and it worked a lot.

I installed this product last week and it went a lot easier than I expected. I installed this radiator on a 2000 Honda Civic LX manual transmission and 176,000 miles. For manual transmission vehicles - I knew there would be two ports on the underside of the radiator that would fit similar automatic transmission models, but when it arrived I was concerned that the two rubber plugs would not be enough to take the back pressure from the radiator To keep cooler (based on my erroneous initial…

I was a bit disappointed with this

. After installing a couple dozen Spectra Premium radiators (I work as a mechanic) I got a bit frustrated with this one. The packaging arrived in good condition, very few ribs were torn in transit. The included equipment left a lot to be desired. It only included 2 of the required 4 M6x1.0 screws to attach the fan assembly to the radiator and these 2 screws were 2-3 times longer than the factory screws meaning they were useless for burying. With most cars of this age (my mileage is 205,000…

Great radiator replacement for 1999 Honda Civic EX!

This cooler comes very close to the original. I've only driven it about 20 miles since installing it, but no leaks so far. It was well packaged and delivered without damage. I removed the lower radiator hose from the thermostat housing. This greatly simplifies the work. It was easy to replace. Note that the screws provided with this replacement heatsink are unusable as they are too long. I tried to see if I could use black parts to somehow get the screws to work, but I gave up. Screws in the…

Help a friend

Ordered this for a 98 LX that my friend's son owns. His original heatsink failed at the point where the end caps meet the core. I installed it in less than 20 minutes. Fits perfectly! The following information is for a manual transmission, the vehicle has two transmission oil cooling lines that need to be disconnected. Additionally, if your hoses are over a few years old, consider replacing them along with the thermostat. Oh, and one more thing: don't leave antifreeze on the floor as pets will…

No overflow hole in filler neck

My old radiator cracked just below the filler neck and I replaced it with this one. The fit is good, the installation went well, there are no leaks at the core. Then I had problems: fluid was leaking from under the radiator cap, the hose to the interior heater radiator came loose, the heater return hose leaked, the top hose burst, and even with no such obvious problems, I'd have to install discs every few times. Somehow I suspect the liquid may have seeped onto the hot engine somewhere, so the…
