Part failed after 1 year and 4 months

Everything was going well until about a month and a half ago I noticed antifreeze leaking all over the driver's side of the engine compartment. Took 1 year and 4 months before the top of the driver's side radiator came loose resulting in complete radiator failure. Disappointing.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Empty

Installed my 2007 Pilot EX with no problems other than the expected hassle of getting the old one out; but that's a story for another time. Do yourself a favor and order the recommended push pins for the top and bottom plastic covers. They will come in handy.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • A few minor things

Perfect radiator for 2006 HONDA PILOT EXL 4X4

So far so good. For a 2006 Honda Pilot, the replacement took about 4 hours. Fits like OEM. Make sure you do a lot of research beforehand so there are no surprises. There were a few problems getting the old one out because it was very tight. Also buy some spare push pins. Due to age, the old pins were brittle and did not come off easily.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Lot

Installation tips: Remove battery and plastic bottom cover

Good radiator for 2008 Pilot 4wd. A few tips: Remove the battery to access the fans. Remove the lower plastic cover to access the ATF line and cooler connections. It's worth taking the time to be able to edit from the bottom. Don't forget to order 2 gallons of coolant - I used about 1.5 gallons. I also replaced the hoses, but it doesn't have to be.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Not all fit

Spectrum is not to blame!

UPS delivered a box of this radiator to my door. I went to the box and saw that it looked like it had been thrown at my door, like a newsboy delivering his goods. Inside was a broken radiator. I can't fault Amazon or Specter for anything so I give it 4 stars. Not 5 because the heatsink design (apart from being broken) didn't seem as good as Denso or any other important quality.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Nothing

Good replacement, best among coolers

My husband installed this on my 2006 Honda Pilot when we found a coolant leak on the old one. It's the same brand of radiator that was sold at a nearby store for $100 more. national car dealership. It was easy for me to watch it install, even though it was a little hot (record hot June in Tucson, Arizona this weekend). The cooler looks like it should work. My A/C is idling again and after 3 months there are no new leaks from this new radiator. I will try to update this review if we have anyโ€ฆ

  • Consistent test results

Never done but without destroying the car

I have never changed a radiator and I don't usually work on the car because my wife won't let me. I have a 2008 edition. Honda Pilot. I read all the reviews and the service manual and figured I could replace it in a day. I was wrong. It took me a few days to remove just one of the fans because one of the screws got caught on the fan post. It took me a few days to figure out how to get at it and remove it with my dremel. I also made the mistake of not removing one of the black top coolant tubeโ€ฆ

Good direct replacement for OEM 2007 Honda Pilot.

This radiator was a direct replacement for a 2007 Honda Pilot. Each faucet was in its place, and it was not difficult to connect them instead of a regular radiator. I noticed that this radiator has less plastic on the top and bottom than the OEM radiator, which hopefully means it's less prone to the cracks and leaks that Honda OEM radiators are known for. This is especially important if your Honda radiator is leaking. , replace it in time. The transmission ports associated with the radiator are
