Made in China: Spiral

I am an experienced carpenter, this bit is not worth the price. In fact, the price implies it's made in the US or Europe, as the Revain profile doesn't reveal that it's made in China. Broke in the first minute of use. I'm sending it back for a refund. Revain - put country of origin on all products, stop playing games.

Quality bits at 1/4 price

I have quite a lot of quality bits. From various companies reaching out to Instagram influencers. I bought them on a whim to get me through the project. I was amazed at how well they cut for 1/4 the price of my expensive parts that cut like crap. I highly recommend these bits and will continue to buy them for my CNC machine.

Pros
  • High test scores for support and durability
Cons
  • Poor instructions

Glad I chose the longer cutter. The bit, the one that comes with the inserts works well but limits you to 1/4" shackles and limits the depth of the inserts. The longer cutter allows you to use 1/2" thick jigs and still cut a 1/4" deep inlay. With the 4 inch template you can get 3 inlays / 4 inches.

Pros
  • Good stuff
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Easily cut into 3/4 plywood!

I needed to cut a square for a folding tool bench. It was important that not only did I have a perfect square, but I also had to have the outline square so that when I flip everything over, it would fit snugly with 1/8" spacing. I used a regular plunge router with this bit (and holder) and got my cuts in 3 passes by moving it slowly. It has never twisted or left a burn mark. I made 8 cuts as in the picture.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

No problem, done right

I don't know what the reports of problems with this nozzle are. I have used them by carving intricate CNC dovetails in vertical and horizontal orientations on my CNC through 4/4 milled exotic wood. I obviously need a bit that size to deal with. Now I work slowly and do 8 to 10 passes over this material, but it works beautifully. I have a third bit because I would say I need an average of about 4 dovetail boxes a week for 6 months. My first piece was rough but not broken and I still use it for…

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Boring packaging
