Bought this set as a quarantine activity for the whole family. I cut and glued a lot, in the end it was just me doing the work. But it was fun to see how every detail was implemented. Definitely not an activity for young children, but smart adults can enjoy it.

I think it's a really good product, very cute, fun to collect and a great gift for everyone! Except for one problem. The wiring is VERY complicated and it doesn't come with batteries that you need and also the instruction manual is too complicated and won't help you one iota. Otherwise it's a really good product! Just needs some improvements!

The kit has everything you need except glue but any glue seems to work for the assembly. I would recommend a quick drying adhesive that works on multiple surfaces. You will have to crop each picture, which requires precision and time, but otherwise the dollhouse is easy to assemble. Super cute. I made it with small problems. However, I have some experience with it and have gotten better through trial and error. The details on them are cute and very accurate in depicting Japanese cultural cues. I will show this in my class - I teach Japanese. This is probably my favorite set I've ever built. The vending machine itself is so cute and realistic that I just couldn't help but buy it. Instructions were in English and easy to follow, with lots of photos, and all materials were present and intact. Some of the large pieces of wood were slightly warped, but in all the kits I've assembled I've never seen a single piece warped. I used sticky glue, super glue, and alcohol glue to finish this. I bought this as a nice break between art projects. I like a lot of boring crafts, but the paper used for small bottles and juice boxes is medium glossy paper that feels uncomfortable (like nails on a chalkboard) when folded. The paper doesn't fold easily either. I used tweezers for a lot of this, but they didn't come with glue, tape, or glue so I had to buy them before I started the project. The wiring is easy to follow but a hassle because I didn't have any tape. The instructions are not 100%
