🌀 Spirograph Junior Kit 01023 Review

I bought this for my first graders and they use it on each one opportunity. The 8.5 x 11 half sheets fit perfectly and fit together with the individual pieces making it very handy. Everything is stowed in the case, so that no part is lost. The gears are very thick and children will have no problem with the fine motor skills required to use them properly. No other markers/pens have been used with it so I can't comment on that.

It's great for kids! We received another set of spirographs and it was awful! An adult had to stop the thing from moving to keep the spirals from slipping under the frame. Perfect for our 5 year old. Our 7 year old recently got the original Spirograph which wasn't very difficult for the rest of us, but our 5 year old had trouble keeping the gear teeth engaged (which understandably frustrated him). I like that it uses half sheets of paper. We can take one sheet and fold it in half so they can draw on both sides before moving on to the next. The paper holds in place well between layers, and the gears are chunky enough to stay on the page but still small enough to make different designs on. I carry it in a zip bag with a small stack of papers to take to restaurants and other places where I need to keep them busy for a while.
