Great shoes for the price! Best suited for high-volume heels.

Great shoes! Super comfortable after a short break-in period. They are amazing on pipelines and hanging routes. The midsole is versatile. Soft enough for steep hanging routes/boulders and hard enough for vertical projects. The rubber is very sticky and soft, wears out relatively quickly around the toe of the shoe but never slips over the hits. My only criticism of them is that the healing shell is too big for my narrow foot/heel. I can feel/expect my heel to slide in and out of the shell a…

Enter the Wave fits shoes

This is the best shoe I've seen for overhanging trails. The sock has the perfect firmness for digging in, yet is soft enough to lubricate relatively well. This is a more versatile shoe than I thought. The heel is of course fantastic, the design adds stiffness and support. I went down 2 1/2 US sizes (10.5 to 8) and they were very painful to break in but they fit like a glove. However, the elastic hem has stretched and the fit isn't as precise as it was originally. Too much weight on the heel…

Great boots for bouldering, should be 0.5 to 1 size smaller

I've been following this pair of shoes since La Sportiva announced them last year. I have duck feet and really like the La Sportiva Genius' wider toe box. Skwama may be cheaper, but it's a pretty big improvement. Pros: The S-shaped heel is great, it's no wonder you won't suddenly jump from V5 to V7. However, the S-shaped heel keeps the heel stiff and in place. I feel absolutely confident when doing a heel hook. I also find that the heel is a bit narrower than the Genius. I have thin ankles…
