I bought this for my chihuahua pup that we brought home. At six weeks this was the perfect starting bed for her. She immediately liked it and her "safe place" in front of our other two adult dogs. In the meantime she has gotten a new bed because we also decided for her sister and they are both cramped.

Unfortunately too small for my 11lb Italian Greyhounds but looks good and is well built. I had to help them into bed (not at the same time) and it was very cramped for a dog. I wish it was available in a larger size. This bed is suitable for toy breeds, kittens and small/medium sized cats.

Purchased after reading Q&A and reviews that it was big enough for a Chihuahua sized dog. My 12 lb Chihuahua mix barely fits and she can't use it comfortably. The label attached to the bed says "Bed Size = Pet Length + Approx 6" which would be good information to include in the product description. The bed itself seems soft and cozy but I returned it. This was a disappointing purchase which I would not have made had the description been more complete.

Technically yes, it's 22x17. To achieve this size, it must be turned over and flattened. This is too small even for my smallest dog who can weigh 11 pounds.
