Do not buy this grater if you expect it to grate

I don't usually write negative reviews without first contacting the seller or manufacturer, but in this case I have to. When I try to contact the seller, I get a message from Revain that the page doesn't exist. I bought a box grater to replace the old one which had become dull over the years and when I got a new one I threw the old one away. A mistake, because this new grater isn't worth a damn and even dumber than the one I threw away. Save your money guys.

Disappointed :( for kitchen and dining room

My old grinder ended up with a cracked handle because it's plastic - I think because we run it in the dishwasher. Anyway, I have this grater among other box graters Chosen due to the stainless steel handle. The grate holes on the 'big' side are too far apart hence the cheese crumbles when grating. Will look for another replacement. For comparison I've photographed my old shredder next to the new one but why I did it Can't add to review. I'll try later.

A++ for this grater

This durable grater is a sharp tool that should be missing from your kitchen. It causes a storm. I was able to easily grate sweet potatoes, zucchini, and ginger for a healthy muffin recipe that I posted on my ADD website. It was a lot easier than our old grater. This literally cut the grinding time in half. Thanks to the large opening, it is easy to clean by hand. I have washed it once by hand and also in the dishwasher. Rinsed great both times. The plastic handle does not break!

We chose this grater based on our previous experience with graters that are partly or mostly made of plastic. My husband usually makes the cheese grater at home. If you have a muscular man, grate the cheese. You need a muscular grater! He gradually broke 2 or 3 different types, some of which were made of plastic. That thing is hard!
