Excellent quality general purpose solder. Activated Rosin Flux Core. For use on Circuit Boards and flux reside is non-corrosive. Melts at 361DegreeF (183DegreeC).
I recently purchased this soldering product and was extremely disappointed with its performance. Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice I was able to determine that the quality of this product is subpar. It did not meet my expectations for an industrial and scientific tool. The cons include its poor heating capacity and overall lack of durability. I would not recommend this product to anyone in need of a reliable soldering tool for industrial purposes. .
Pros
Easy to use with clear instructions.
Cons
Lacks durability and may require frequent replacement.
This soldering iron claims to be for industrial and scientific use, but it falls far short of that... As my tests showed, it has a very weak heating element and the tip does not stay hot for very long. This makes it difficult to use for any serious industrial work. The only positive is that it is lightweight, but that doesn't mean much when it can't do the job it's meant to do. Save your money and invest in a better brand..
Pros
Efficient and easy to use for soldering and repairing electronic components.
Cons
Has a relatively high price point compared to other soldering products on the market.
To be honest I can't tell it apart from the 60/40 I've been using for years other than the smell. I don't know if it's a flux mix or a 63/37 mix, but this thing stinks (well, maybe "stinks" is too strong a word, but it's undesirable).
