Poorly made? - Computers and accessories

Seems to be well made but when you open it to install the m2 drive it doesn't work. The photos show that the contacts do not fit properly. Bad production. Ordered a replacement and it didn't fit either. Both return.

Overall good m.2 SATA case

Good case except for the compartment, the m.2 sits in its really cheap plastic but it works. I have good read/write speeds averaging 445MB/s. The included cable works well. I would recommend.

Device arrived on time, in new condition. It was easy to mount my M2. 2280 SATA and close the case. I bought it for my Raspberry Pi 4b. Works well. Quickly. No problem. Attractive gray material. hard case. No complaints at all. Highly recommended.

The thumbscrew they give you is too big.

I found the thumbscrew that secures the drive that came with this case was a bit too big and the case wouldn't close when tightened. I returned the case for this reason. Maybe it was something I did, but I don't understand how. It was just a hair and kept the fuselage from sliding backwards.

Ultra-light SATA M.2 enclosure

No tools required, does what it's supposed to. Includes a USB-C to USB-A cable, as far as I can tell both are Super Speed compatible. Transfer 5 Gbps in 18 seconds over Thunderbolt with the included USB A to C dongle. Overall I'm happy and it does what it's supposed to. The only problem: The fastening screw has come loose so that it does not fit into the housing. I'm waiting for customer support to resolve this issue so I can protect the drive.

Wow Super Fast SATA SSD Enclosure

This is a truly tool-free aluminum enclosure that comes with a nice Type-C to Type-A cable and a Type-A to Type-C adapter , so you can use the cable Type-C on both ends. The screw that secures the SSD can be tightened with your fingers, so a screwdriver is not required. I installed a SanDisk 500GB SSD from an old laptop and after formatting I get a consistent speed of 375-400Mbps. Unlike my SanDisk Extreme, the speed doesn't jump up and down due to a full buffer. Works perfectly! Read the instructions carefully for the correct use of the thumbscrew.

A friend spilled a drink on her laptop and killed it. She asked me to restore the files if I can. I somehow needed to read the SSD drive from their computer, so I bought this case. The build and materials are good. The drive fits snugly, but there's a little trick with the included screws to keep it in place. The manual says so, but it's easy to miss.
