Smooth chrome plated polished metal. This is not a stainless steel ring. SS does not scratch or shine. It will last a few weeks and be covered in scratches (not that I'm specifically trying) and I'll post pictures as proof.

The item was scratched so quickly it had a giant scratch in less than the first two minutes. Then the black color of the cross has rubbed off, I'm not impressed, I don't recommend buying from someone who takes the ring off if there's something that can ruin it, like scratches or dirt, and it's already become rough.
