It works great but you have to store a lot

This is a quality grater. It works very well and the design is nice with rubber feet so you can easily hold it over a large cutting board for example. It fits on the top shelf of the dishwasher. My only caveat is the size - it's very long (16 inches) and presents a bit of an awkward storage problem in my small kitchen. No reason to avoid this, just be aware if you're ordering for the blind. However, the long length is part of what makes it so effective and easy to use. If I had a roomier…

Phenomenally good for the kitchen and dining room

I'm fed up with bad graters. They fall apart. you break. You become mute. They don't even stay shiny. I use it almost daily as I find it best to eat raw and grated carrots and turnips. (Beetroot seems to help prevent gallstones.) I love the results from this grater! It requires more strength and coordination than the box grater and even a little more strength than the other flat graters, but not by much. I get used to it quickly. Bonus: Suitable for carrots and beets. It will never bend or…

  • There's something in it

  • Exchange availability

Summary: Worked well, started to break, Rösle was replaced under warranty. I would give 5 starts but I'll wait and see how the 2nd holds up. Have had this for a little over a year (used 0-2 times a week). The unit (middle grater) split towards the end. I liked it, it works well, but it is no longer usable as it will most likely fall apart completely on one side or bend and cause slipping. I contacted Rosla and provided photos and a receipt; they sent me a new one. Please note when contacting…

Dangerously boring in kitchen utensils and gadgets

Bought a medium sized grater based on Cook's Illustrated Reviews. I've also spent some time reviewing Revain, but I'd like to pay more attention to complaints of harshness. This grater is stupid. Dangerously boring. The first task I put on the grater was to grind the sharp cheddar. It was a nice, firm piece of cheese straight out of the fridge. Something you would expect to have a little resistance when rubbed, but it will come out in even, consistent clumps. However, instead of a little…

Simply the best grater.

Bought a grater. It is comparable to any box grater. With this twist. The design of the Rösle blade differs slightly from the box grater. The box grater basically results in a "flat" lacing. Rozle gives a "slightly banana-like" top. It's all about the design of the blade. Hashbrown potatoes brown brilliantly. Cook a little faster. The texture, as I described, is "a bit" heavier than the box. The actual size of the hole in the rosette is the same as on the grater. The design of the rosette gives

My new favorite kitchen tool

I've had this grater for a few months now and I really like it. I've always had a problem with box graters losing an inch or two of grate surface because there's no finger space between the bottom of the grater and the work surface. The Rosle's legs raise it off the countertop when not in use over a bowl and allow you to utilize the full surface of the grate. grid surface. It allows you to quickly complete any task that this tool is good for. A lot of grated product is obtained with each pass…
