The welder said it wasn't SS304

I bought them thinking it was SS304. They actually have the SS304 stamp on the item. I took them to the welder along with other parts. He said he couldn't TIG weld the parts because they were NOT stainless steel.

Cons
  • So far so good

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Prepared and ready for TIG. Individually wrapped and boxed.

I don't know if the other reviewer said you can't tease it? What? It is prepared for welding. Came individually wrapped and boxed. Look at the photos. Seems to weld well. No questions. However, before welding, there is no harm in treating it with acetone or alcohol.

Cons
  • Not bad but...

Slim but weldable.: Hardware

I used this to make a custom axle return tip on the end of my "muffler". ;) This detail is thin but can be welded. The processing is definitely not durable. Neither do the more expensive ones. Ignore negative reviews on that basis alone. This part must not be used for high temperature applications near exhaust manifolds or for high pressure turbines.
