Stock replacement

Works as it should, good aftermarket product. I just wish it had a housing on the back of the sensor where the wires go in like some manufacturers do.

Fits and works in 2003 Subaru Outback

Threads and electrical connector fit my 2003 Subaru Outback 5 speed as OEM. Easy to install and includes a copper ring to seal the gear case. No complaints at all.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Good but not great

Did exactly what it should. Works perfectly.

Just what I needed for my 2002 Forester. Replaces mine in 20 minutes Comes with a metal washer that goes from the bottom. I'm relieved that my reverse lights are now working properly!

  • Free for educational purposes

Didn't last long. fits reverse light switch

The switch fitted my 2011 Outback perfectly, worked for 1 year and then stopped working. Bought another one, worked for 1 week and stopped working. Revain / Crafting a Replaced Item. I hope this one lasts longer than the first two.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Damaged

Had to convert for use as a neutral switch

This switch can be used as a reverse light switch. I needed this to replace a bad neutral switch. The problem is that the neutral switch "locks" differently than the reverse light switch. Of course, I noticed this after I installed the shifter in the gearbox and routed the wire. If he looks closely at the socket, he is using a coded socket insert. All I had to do was pry it out with a small screwdriver and replace it with the OEM insert from my broken switch. That was on a '99 Subaru Legacy…

Pros
  • Heavy duty
Cons
  • Only available in black

Replaced a leaking circuit breaker - fits perfectly

May 29, 2019. I have a 2005 Subaru Outback. with manual transmission. I removed the faulty switch (the easiest was from below) and then traced the wire to the connector. Disconnect and replace with a new one. Pretty easy to do with regular hand tools. You will need to use an open end wrench (I think it was 22mm) to remove and replace the gearbox. No liquids leaked but transmission was still low so some liquid may have leaked. I ordered a different switch because there are two identical…

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Low serviceability
