No more leaks and reversing lights!

Great replacement for my Jeep Grand Cherokee. The original switch was damaged, gear oil was leaking heavily, about a liter an hour, and there were no reversing lights. Removal and replacement requires a 1" 6pt thin wall socket. Highly recommended!

Works great and got my Jeep back on the road!

Great item at a good price. My jeep would not start and after replacing the starter motor to no avail I figured it was the neutral switch as the reverse lights also didn't work. Installed this new switch and was back on the road in no time. Thanks

Not too hard to change - dirty

Call me an idiot but nobody told me that when I installed this on my 2000 Dodge Durango, transmission oil spurted out like a hose. It appears to be a direct replacement for the factory. Fixed an issue with reversing lights not burning. I was missing the black seal shown in the picture.

Pros
  • Best in the niche
Cons
  • too dumb

Perfect match for original switch

Bought this switch to fix my reverse lights. They didn't light up and I traced the problem back to the switch. It was difficult to get the old one out. Shift rod and cooling lines interfere. You need a 1" deep socket that fits the plug to pull it out. This switch is identical in fit and function to my original factory switch. Replacing the switch fixed my reverse lights.

Pros
  • Enjoy
Cons
  • No power

So far so good - Switch

The part was an exact replacement for my 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 with automatic transmission. This solved my problem with the reverse lights and also the problem when the truck tried to start in any gear. Due to the location and the fact that the only outlet I had that was big enough was the power outlet and the wall was so thick it was difficult to get the outlet far enough to unclip the old one and the it was a little difficult to install, exchange it a new one.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Everything is fine

98' ZJ Grand Cherokee

Great product, appears to be of equal or better quality than the OEM. Comes with a seal to keep the oil in the gearbox. You will need a 1" deep socket to remove/install this sensor AND a flexible joint for your ratchet as there is no room! I also used a 5" extension between the gooseneck and the ratchet. Inexpensive, quick and easy to install. So if you need to push the shifter forward to turn on the reverse lights, get this sensor!

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No automatic transmission
