    nail sharp for chisel

I give the chisel 5 stars but the packaging 1. Why would you be surprised that the edge of the chisel cut through the paper envelope it came in.

    • Has flaws

Sturdy and kept me from smacking my hand!

Sturdy and keeps me from banging my arm! I needed it to remove the tiles from the wall and it was more than enough for this task. I doubt I'll ever have to replace that. What else lasts so long at this price?

    Pros
    • Very good value for money
    Cons
    • Definitely a bad product

    Great brush for the price!

Great for the price. I use it to cut to size gaskets and metal rails that are already nailed to the concrete floor. The edge has held up well despite abuse. My only complaint is that the handle tends to rise above the end of the chisel when you hit it with a hammer.

    Pros
    • Great design
    Cons
    • Useless features

Used this tool when removing a tile from my listing.

Use this tool when removing tiles in the hallway and kitchen. It works as expected and I've used a lot more than I thought it would. I still suggest hiring someone else to do this time-consuming task, but if you need or want to do it yourself, this will help. It is well made and appears to be very durable.

    • Brings joy
    Cons
    • Periodicity

Handguard is a must and easy to use

Reliable handguard is a must and easy to use. The downside, and it can only be me, but do not score, and the instructions indicate that the chisel will be. Bought this to cut pavers after reading articles and watching videos but had to hammer several times and still the pavers not only break on the lines but have very jagged edges. Maybe it's me, maybe it's pavers, but it looks like a chisel and if it's true, it's a 4.

    Pros
    • Best in its niche
    Cons
    • Speed of operation

    Used stone chisel

This chisel served its purpose and has held up well. After completing my demolition project, the back of the bit warped but still works perfectly. My only complaint is that the grip started slipping up and down shortly after I started using it. Ultimately, this didn't affect the work of the chisel, but was a little annoying. At the same time, my left hand was glad that there was a grip and that the guard was protecting it from my sometimes imprecise right hand.

    Pros
    • Nice packaging
    Cons
    • Expensive

    Did the job! Fits

We do housework and don't know much about what we do, so we poured the cement foundation (too stretched) and we need to cut a 10 foot line about 1 inch long. We used a heavy duty 4-1/2" DEWALT DW4725 full edge dry cut diamond saw blade and a 7/8" masonry arbor on an angle grinder to cut the line as deep as the blade would allow and then used that Stanley. FatMax chisel for beating off the ground where the angle grinder missed. It turned out great!

    Great Mason Chisel

After banging my hands a few times with a regular hammer and chisel I bought this one to help pry out a brick wall and brick planter. It worked great. It's a powerful chisel and the guards saved my hands. Even after several weeks of constant hammering, the guard remains in excellent shape. The coating is still there, the metal does not show through. Now I scrape the grout off the bricks to recycle and this chisel was a huge time saver. For the price, the purchase is absolutely justified.

    • Some bugs

    Nice Chisel

I'm no chisel expert but I needed a masonry chisel to break through a wall of glass blocks without breaking the blocks. It worked fine. I liked the idea of protecting hands and it worked (at least) a couple of times while I was working :) . The chisel itself looks nicely balanced and holds up well to the hammer blows I've used. I was quite surprised to find that the vibrations had no effect on my hand. In fact, it wasn't until some time later that I realized that everything was fine with myโ€ฆ

    saved my hand

I bought this to build a stone retaining wall. This was my first stone and chisel project. I can count the number of times I've missed the bit head and either dodged or stuck straight into the guard - the guard worked perfectly, I didn't hurt my thumb or hand. In terms of build quality, there were some chips on the bit itself, but only cosmetic ones (hopefully). The glued end was quickly chipped off and stripped of paint, so the guard in the picture is actually flush with the yellow pin (nowโ€ฆ
