Stanley STST16410 16 Inch Toolbox Review

It's a good tool box for its size and has plenty of storage, but the button lock was a bad idea. At first I thought it was cool to press the release button, but after a few months it stopped grabbing the latch to close it. If you overfill this tool chest it won't latch and if you hit the latch or tool chest while carrying it it will open easily and throw your stuff on the floor. I needed something to organize my gun cleaners. The top fits my brushes and other attachments. The base is very deep and holds large items. The sump can hold the cleaner and oil. just so you know The cleaner bottle is slightly smaller in diameter than a soda can and won't close if there's enough room in the middle section at the ends where the pockets stick from the lid. Bought this to use on my tractor to carry gloves and small tools. need waterproof. When it rains, water gets in. You also need to be careful not to overfill the bin with things that can jam the fancy locking mechanism. There's a chance you're blocking the latch from the inside. After two years this tool box is completely useless, it will eventually deform when carrying even a small amount of weight (guess the tools are heavy!) and as soon as it loses its shape , it becomes completely inoperable , the tray no longer hangs properly, instead it falls to the bottom of the box and the latch becomes unusable, the lid does not find the clasp, I had to carry it under my arm for a few months as it cannot be carried by the handle if the lid doesn't latch, but what do you expect

I ordered this product via Prime Shipping and received it within 2 days, packaged in a large mailer box which is very easy to open. Bought to replace the onboard tool kit for my RV. It replaced an old metal tool box with the same external dimensions. Bought this to keep on my porch and to carry frequently used gardening tools. I envisioned a portable cart that would protect my tools from the rain and pop open in a jiffy when my hands are full of garden soil or plants with ominous names like "Dead Man's Fingers" and "Bleeding Love Lies." to be planted.
