No more pipes! Best in Cycling

So far so good, no leaks. I didn't want to spend nearly $70 on a kit, so I ordered sealant, valve stems, and used Gorilla tape instead of rim strips and rim tape. This setup was done with top-of-the-line Bontrager Mustang wheels and Bontrager xr1 tires.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Generic bases received, not Stans

These are generic bases in a small white box. They are not carded as advertised and they are not Stans. I have carded Stans stalks to compare directly to them and the ones I received are not Stans stalks as advertised. Buy elsewhere.

  • Certified
Cons

Expensive and poorly made

Both did not have the rubber piece completely cut off to keep air out of the tire. Driven me crazy until I took them out and checked the valves. I paid extra money for something in a white box that doesn't even have rim spacers or holes in the rubber? I will buy something else next time

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Minor issues

Works great for a tubeless setup

They fit perfectly on my Mavic rims to convert to tubeless. YOU DON'T NEED TO DRILL THE RIM FOR IT TO WORK. I know I've read some reviews that say you have to drill the rim but you can't do that with these valves. Just tighten the collar and they will compress and create a snug seal.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • periodicity

no hole in the rubber part of the rod

It's my first time doing a tubeless tire. I cleaned the rim and sealed it with tape. Put the tire on the rim. Added 3 ounces of Stan's Tire Sealant. Tried to inflate. I tried everything I could think of to inflate a tire. Valve stem removed from the rim. Valve stem core removed. No holes in the rubber. I should have learned by now that I need to check everything I buy. (no sarcasm)

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • Without gift

tubeless presta valves

I put these on my Marin Rift Zone 2 and they work great. If you are going from tubed to tubeless, make sure the tape covering the hole where the valve goes is adequately covered. I was concerned when I installed them because they were leaking air, but upon further investigation the problem was the pre-installed rim tape. I just added some Gorilla Tape and now it works perfectly.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Pretty good

Would highly recommend them for your next tubeless rig!

Bought to convert my Diamondback Century 4 Carbon to tubeless. Got them, Stan's No Tubes Sealant and Mavic Yksion Elite All Road tires. They worked perfectly and after a couple of weeks the tire pressure was the same as when it was first pumped up. I couldn't ask for anything better so I see no reason to give them less than 5 stars. They seem to be of good quality and they haven't given me any problems.

Pros
  • quality construction
Cons
  • unreliable

Great product when used correctly

I bought these as I had a major problem with air leaking in the stock and thought they would be a great replacement. I installed them and still have a major stem leaking problem. I've since added an o-ring under the valve nut from an old tubeless setup and the seal around the valve seems better, but I'd recommend looking for a different valve if you need reliability. Update: The problem was not with this valve stem. was at my work with rim tape. Once I rewind the wheel, these stems work like a…

Pros
  • Several competitors

  • No automatic

Never again: Sport

I'm a big fan of Stan's tape and caulk, but these bars were beyond useless. They worked fine for a while, but then the core came out when I removed the lid. When reinstalling the core I tried to tighten it but then the whole core turned. After that it wouldn't close no matter how much I twisted the stem. After the core first came out, I only screwed the lid on lightly, but the core still accidentally fell out when I removed the lid. Not believing that this is due to operator error, I installed…
