I used a lemon peeler (the zest is used to make vintage lemon flavorings). The peeler worked great, but one of the two plastic tips on the bottom of the machine that hold the lemon in place when you rotate it broke. If the spikes were metal, or if there were three spikes instead of two to minimize the stress on each spike, I don't think the machine would break that way. If you plan to use the device only a few times a day. year it should meet your expectations, but if you use it a few times a…

Received today, broken today!

Just received today and peeled potatoes for dinner. He collapsed on the last potato! The hand holding the blade broke off. The pieces were scattered all over the kitchen. I have an old one (at least 18 years old) that still works, the only thing wrong with it is that the blade is dull. The only benefit of this purchase is that the blades of this flimsy and cheap peeler work with my old one. So I got at least 4 blades out. If I had known the blades sold separately would work, I might have just…

Great Product!: Graters, Peelers & Slicers

Crazy but it works great. Oh my God. it's so easy to use. And it comes with 4 spare blades. I've had it since December 2016. It's late March 2017. I still love this knife. It has always been hand washed just to be careful. But somehow the pin and spring came off the lever that the blade is attached to. I just found a pen and quill on a shelf near the base of the knife. I've tried and tried but I can't put it back together. I need three hands. I noticed that there is a small plastic pin missing…

It does the job. - Kitchen Utensils and Gadgets

I bought this hand knife instead of an electric knife because I read reviews about knife accuracy control and now I understand why they said so. I've used it to peel apples and it does a relatively good job, although it skips a bit at times and doesn't peel about 2/3 inch from the top or bottom of the apple. Because of this I still have to use a paring knife to finish peeling an apple but with this peeler and apple corer/slicer the job of prepping apples is less time consuming and a lot easier.

Ideal for processing bunches of fruit or vegetables!

I got this when all of a sudden a ton of pears ripened on my tree and I needed to preserve them. I tried another brand first and sent it back as it just crushed the pears into pieces. Rotato worked great straight away and I peeled and processed these pears in record time! The only thing I can complain about is that parts of the wet shell regularly get stuck in the blade mechanism and suddenly stop climbing, and you have to disassemble and clean the blockage. It was pretty annoying. I've also…
