Starrett 33H 6 4RTCAL Combination NIST Traceable Calibration Review

I already had a 12" Starrett Combo Square; I need a smaller square for more complex situations. The smaller version is also more convenient for adjusting the saw blade height. Starrett Rulers are very accurate !

This combination square is of the quality I expect from a Starrett product. Very nice finish all around and blind spot. Laser engraved markings are clear and easy to read thanks to the matte finish of the steel ruler. However, they do not affect the use of the square or the ability to read the rule, so the stars are not subtracted.

If you try hard you can find much more expensive and nicer looking triangles but don't waste your time searching unless you are a wealthy tool collector and I really don't want to Use this tool. Starrett simply makes the best, most accurate, and most reliable layout tools in the world. You can find cheaper tools to help you with the roughest of carpentry jobs and build birdhouses with Cub Scouts, but if you need precision for fine woodworking, Starrett's premium price is worth every penny.
