📏 Starrett C334 150 2 Sided Steel Ruler: Durable Precision Measuring Tool Review

As always, Starrett quality is second to none. Although the ruler is exactly 150 mm (5.905 inches) long, the inch divisions end at 5.7 inches for the 10 scale and 5.76 inches for the 50 scale. All graduations and markings are beautifully and deeply engraved for durability.

The label on the plastic cover of the product is correct. But the item in the plastic case, the ruler itself, is not the part. The description and photos show both inch and metric sizes, but the item shipped will have inch sizes on both sides. It's useful, but NOT what I expected.

For starters, this is not a full six inch scale (ruler). It measures an overall length of 5-59/64" and the actual marked measurements end up at 5-47/64" when measured with a calibrated caliper. Comparing this Starrett scale to the Products Engineering 501-006 scale I also have, I would not buy again but would purchase a Products Engineering scale (ruler) instead. Working in the aerospace and automotive industries, I learned to always check my measurement tools before using them.
