Depth attachment for stabilizing the caliper while measuring depth of grooves and bores. Depth base allows for perpendicular entry into the hole or groove, ensuring accuracy. Attaches by tightening a screw, removes easily when finished. Place the caliper on a flat surface when tightening the screw to ensure the end of caliper and attachment are evenly lined up, for measurement accuracy. Compatible with Starrett 6", 9", and 150 mm calipers.

Works well: test, measure and inspect

base is on Starrett 197a 0-12" set, works great, easy to fit, handles many parts with steps between hole depths and makes them much easier to get accurate readings.

High quality, good for depth

Bought these for my job as a JD service technician. There were different needs for depth measurement, but I didn't want to buy depth gauges. They work great on my calipers. quality product

It's well built too. This turns your caliper into a depth gauge. (Here I use the word "tool" very carefully.) I can use it for multiple applications, but I had to buy a depth gauge for a specific application. I bought a Starrett 440Z-3RL. I bought Sturrett products because they are made in America (not made elsewhere, just assembled in America) and assembled. Yes, they are made and built right here in the USA. I emailed Starrett for information and it was great working with them via email. So…
