Works flawlessly! Just unbelievable!

This little device is SO easy to use. You literally unwrap it and plug it in and you're done! I didn't even have to install drivers. This works FANTASTIC for my headphones as my PC didn't have a headphone jack. Now I just plug it into my headphones and it just works. Once I'm done, I turn off the device and the audio returns to my normal speakers.

  • Stylish and modern design

Good despite a small volume issue

Bought because it was a cheaper alternative to fixing a broken headphone jack on my laptop. Efficient and works well, however the volume seems to increase slightly when you plug in headphones; Even with the computer's master volume turned down to its lowest setting, the USB volume is still incredibly loud. Terribly loud. I have to be careful when playing music and videos through programs that have an additional volume control to keep the volume at an acceptable level. Otherwise a pretty good…

Clay is more than enough!

Bought for a computer workstation without built-in sound and sound card. Works very well! When using my small 32ohm headphones it is very loud! You should turn everything off as low as possible. Drives 600 ohm headphones to normal levels, but still sounds as loud as you can handle. No drivers are required on my Win 7 system.

  • Useful not only for its intended purpose

Just what I needed

This product was a cheap repair for a computer at work that had a broken stereo connector on the Promethean circuit board. That was a quick fix and worked great. Repairs are a lot cheaper than working on a computer, and it holds up well. The computer has a lot of USB ports, so this is not an inconvenience.

Worth every penny

It was a great invention/product. I bought a refurbished laptop that I had to return and then received another one with a broken audio jack. Well I couldn't wait another month for a third refurbished laptop so I searched and found this one. Works perfectly! However, the default sound is maxed out when you plug it in. I don't mind and it just takes me a second to turn up the volume and start using this wonderful product!

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • For old

Newer Macs don't seem to have audio input anymore, so this was my cheapest option. My goal was to record bass guitar parts in the garage band using a 1/4" to 1/8" converter on the mic input of this unit. I just received this product last night and Garage Band/Mac OS 10.6.8 immediately recognized the converter and asked if I would like to use it for I/O. This aspect of PlugNplay was definitely a good part. The bass response I got was excellent and it picked up low frequencies, but I will say the
