Safety and good visibility

Love this life jacket - my large 5 year old 60lbs is very comfortable in it when we are on the boat - I've swum in it too and it's well supported and doesn't budge Do not unbalance your body like some lifejackets do. I love the bright green color - it's easy to spot in the water when someone jumps overboard and I love the handle on the back of the float - it seems like a lot of 50-90 lb jackets don't have this feature. Just bought for my little brother! I bought them for about $30 - a great…

Best crotch strap EVER!

Love it! Okay, let's jump straight to the title of this review: the crotch strap. This is the most comfortable crotch strap I have ever seen on a life jacket that I have purchased. The typical chunky strap is housed in a soft, padded sleeve. I think this will really help with the chafing you experience with most life jackets. The jacket is brightly colored to make it easier for you to spot your little one in the water. The head hole looks wide enough for kids not to feel suffocated. , and the…

Well designed and comfortable!

My 8 year old son loves this life jacket. It's incredibly well built, comfortable and has a crotch strap. We both like this color - he thinks it's cool and I like its visibility. It fits very well and is easy to put on. He's about 49 inches tall and 50 pounds (lean) but he sits very securely on him and thanks to his design he has room to grow so it looks like he's doing a lot of good. I originally purchased the STEARNS Youth Classic Series. A life jacket, but it was too tight for him and didn't

Not limiting - daughters love it!

I was expecting my 7 year old daughter to hate this life jacket, she used to wear smaller/less tight life jackets but now we need the safety features of this life jacket. She wore it over her spring jacket last night - it's still cold around here and she loved it. She loved the pillow - she enjoyed "leaning around" wherever it was. I loved that I could see her across the lake in that color - she was disappointed they didn't have a pink version. She is smaller so this jacket was big over her…

Exceeded all expectations

It is becoming increasingly difficult to find life jackets with flotation pads and especially crotch straps in larger than child sizes. This life jacket is great. Being Type II it is extremely comfortable and its size can even allow a small adult with enough shoulder straps to carry it. There are no complaints when wearing it. Convenient enough that it disappears while swimming. Although I did notice the thread loosening inside the drain holes, I believe the vest should last for many seasons…

Amazing Boating Product

I am very critical of items designed to protect my child in the water. Not all products are made equal, but not all parents have $50-$75 for a lb that most likely will only be used in the pool. Let me just say that I am so pleased with this PFD that I would let my son use it on the boat if the opportunity arose. It is CG certified and I have confidence in this product. My son is 4.5 years old, 48 inches tall and weighs 58 pounds. Because of this device, he went from fear of swimming to diving…

This product is worth its price. I actually went to Walmart after purchasing this item and was dismayed that they didn't have a life jacket with this rating. I was not aware of the reviews when purchasing this item. I did extensive research beforehand and found that this is the nominal lifespan you need for maximum security. A week prior to arrival and prior to my exploration, my son went swimming and was given a life jacket at the facility. When he put it on, he nearly drowned. Despite wearing
