Works as well as it should.

Works. Used to replace one in my Craftsman YT4500 tractor. Fits perfectly except it comes with a nut and star washer to secure the clamps whereas the original had two nuts on each stud which I liked better. I wasn't a fan of just tightening the battery cables to the magnet housing so I just stole some nuts from the old one. Problem solved.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Worked great, solved my starter problem

Replaced the solenoid on an old tractor that was clicking for over 10 years and made multiple attempts to start. The replacement took about 10 minutes and the tractor started on the first try. The quality looks the same as the original. Of course, if you're having trouble with your starter motor clicking or not turning, it could be that solenoid after checking the battery. Be sure to mark or photograph the location of the cable so everything can be placed back in the same place.

Cons

Works perfectly! photos for comparison.

My mower would not start, the battery was fine and I was able to start it by removing the starter from the battery. I figured the solenoid had probably failed after almost 20 years. It is nearly identical to the stock magnet on my 1997 Kohler powered Craftsman. I was disappointed that it didn't have two lugs to bolt to the chassis, but it installed intact so I didn't remove the sprocket. I am attaching photos of the original installed, a comparison of two and a newly installed one.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Older model
