Heats up even without load current. Poor quality assurance

This is my second relay, first no problem, second after start with no load only activated contact reaches 150 degrees Fahrenheit. When I was on my van after 15-20 minutes with only USB traction I couldn't touch it! Poor quality control again. Too bad I lost my box to return. I will try to call them to see if they have a warranty on their unit.

great for dual battery setup

used for my avalanche dual battery setup with welding wire two sets of 1.50m red and black great for battery and inverter operation second rear passenger seat for inverter or maybe another battery. (Had to join two sections and solder them together to get to the back, so I think a set would be fine if you just want to run the battery.

Not easy to use! Best in Battery Switches

This isolator is really stupid to install. I gave up on b4 even trying to install it. A special method is required for installation and I just didn't want to open the steering wheel cover to install this product (as shown in the picture). It also seems that the person who received the b4 me product had the same idea because the seals were already broken. Please refer to the b4 connection diagram when purchasing this product.

But had high hopes.

That sucks! I was looking for a way to power my UTV's second fuse box from my second battery. Used 20" and 10" led bar and chase led bar. Worked every 10 minutes until it shut off. There is still a power switch on the relay, but it doesn't switch the relay. I think you get what you pay for. Order another brand's high power 100% duty cycle, let's hope it works!

It froze in cold weather - NOT working

I bought it on January 11, 2018. The installation went well. When I tried to tighten the connections, one of the connectors came loose too easily. I removed the washers and was able to tighten enough threads for a good connection. Works perfectly for 1 year and 2 days. At a recent temperature of -7-8 degrees, the relay did not work - it froze. I had to use the heat gun for 15-20 seconds and it started working again. This happened 3 different times. I contacted the manufacturer directly…

The ideal isolating relay at a great price! Highly recommended!

Works exactly as shown, great value! I installed this device so I can parallel the house and chassis batteries in my RV. I've also added a diode isolated "manual override switch" which allows me to use the isolator in an emergency to start my generator from the chassis battery or start the engine from the house battery if one battery is dead. Also, I have a third diode isolated trigger from my ignition that allows me to charge the house battery from the alternator while the RV engine is…

  • Good product for the price

  • Compatibility

Works well but has some disadvantages

First I am using this relay to increase the power I can get from the ignition sensor circuit in my car. enough isolator for use in a dual battery system depending on how you set it up. If your auxiliary/secondary battery is only powering the extras and the starter battery is still powering all the standard equipment in your car, that should be fine. If you have a system where one isolator disconnects the starter battery and a second powers everything while the car is off, this isn't for you. it

Heats up even without load current

This contactor has very few specifications. The contactor is designed for a continuous current of 80A. However, there is no information on the power factor requirements (if any) for the loads. It's actually just a high power SPST relay, not a true battery isolator. It does not monitor battery voltage and will turn off loads before the battery level drops below a level that could endanger it. By the way, here is a combiner/isolator that actually prevents battery damage from deep discharge…
