What a waste of $50... I bought three sets of 500 plates each to feed my cats on disposable plates and they were uncoated. and although it was said in the title which i didn't notice the description didn't say anything at all about it being uncoated but other people in the reviews said it was good for cat food so i don't know what they wrote their Plates on but mine was completely soaked in 3 minutes leaving a sloppy mess. Terrible place to eat.

I have used paper plates this size on my sailboat for many years. I mainly use them as a place to put dishes on the countertop to keep cleaning to a minimum. I prefer uncoated panels for this use because they are biodegradable and do not emit any plastic into the environment. The fact that they are thin doesn't matter because I use these plates. They are useless for many purposes because they are brittle and fat penetrates them as well. I've tried using this to reheat a hot dog in the microwave
