I bought an orange webbing and made a dozen webbing for my van. After a day in the van in the sun, the chemical stench from the straps was unbearable. I hung them in a hot garage for three weeks and they're still useless in a van. Now they smell less, but the best I can say is I'll be able to use them in a month or two.

I had to make some straps to fit under the UPS batteries so I can easily pull them out when they need to be replaced. It worked. It's thin enough to fit inside, flexible enough to wrap around batteries, and doesn't cost an arm or a leg. I cut it to length, melted the ends with a lighter, and you're done. I was surprised at how subtle it is, more of an observation than a complaint. It is soft and elastic. I have no problems with the product. I bought this to make a chest strap for my backpack.
